ISDCM
has been closely involved in institution building in its catchments areas
in two ways; one in activating / re-activating existing committees / institutions
and the other by creating new institutions for sustainability of programmes.
The following table will show the progress in this respect:

During the year 2008 in total 180 committees and groups formed by ISDCM which is a significant achievement.
Besides, ISDCM Field Managers facilitated formation and re-activating many other committees at the field level on request of local administration. In previous year it has assisted actively and closely the government to form committees at Upazila, Union and Village levels for implementation of Water Supply and Arsenic Mitigation Project in seven Upazila and Flood Emergency Response Project (FERP) in thirty Upazilas of Bangladesh.
