It is found that in 2008 good number of persons were trained at the grass root level of whom majority were females.
1. Seminars
In the year under review following seminars were organized by ISDCM local offices on the subject(s) quite relevant to the activities of ISDCM:

During the period 11 regional and local level seminars were organized which was participated by 700 persons of different categories of whom participants included Union Parishad Chairmen, Municipality Chairmen, District level Officials, Upazila Officials, Marriage Registrars, Women Group Leaders, Municipal Councilors, UP Members, Imams, Teachers, Journalists, Village Doctors etc.
The subjects of the seminars were: i) Prevention of early Marriage, (ii) Prevention of child labour, iii) Prevention of Dowry systems and its consequences, iv) HIV and AIDS in Bangladesh, v) Child Rights Protection, vi) Convention on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), vii) Women empowerment etc.
2. Study Tour
In 2008 six Branch Managers of ISDCM Micro-credit programme visited to Tomaltola Branch of Bagatipara to study the Micro-credit operation and its problems and shared their experience among themselves for improvements.
The Regional Manager of ISDCM visited
Syedpur Project to gather experience as to how differently Micro-finance
project is being implemented there. He later shared the experience in District
Coordination meeting of the Branch Managers.
